I’ve tried writing a lot of letters, tried starting a lot of conversations, tried putting my most compassionate foot forward, yet I’ve never followed through. Every letter left unwritten, the conversations never had, and the compassion forgotten along the way. I’ve spent far too much time focused on who I want to become, trying to fix all the pieces of me I’ve thought were broken.
